Online Appointment Scheduling

This is an extensive and challenging flow, as we navigate Sharp's complicated organizational structure and various scheduling requirements.

The biggest UX obstacles we face at Sharp are operational. Patients scheduling through Sharp.com can belong to one of three medical groups and a variety of different insurance providers. The worst part is, they usually don’t know the difference. Our job is to make this a seamless experience for all patients, regardless of medical group or insurance affiliation.

One of the requirements for this project was to make doctor availability as transparent as possible, starting from the search results page. While it would be ideal to show available dates and times right in the results, the doctor’s appointment availability could vary depending on the patient and appointment type.

 

So, show their availability without actually showing their availability.
